Location: Children of the Mountain Retreat Center, San José Vereda, La Calera, Colombia
An intensive teacher training hosted at the Children of the Mountain Retreat Center near Bogotá, located on the Los Alisos farm, with shared-room and tent accommodation options and training in a large dome. The training includes 11 days of practice and theory with daily yoga, handstand training, Thai massage, teaching methodology, nature and excursions, and an official AcroYoga Prem certificate plus a Yoga Alliance 100-hour YACEP certification. The syllabus lists theory topics such as history, philosophy, anatomy and biomechanics, injury prevention, consent, ethics, community building, and finding teaching voice, alongside practice modules including flows, washing machines, pops, whips, and icarios, plus standing and dance lift progressions. Registration requires an application, acceptance, a non-refundable deposit, and a prerequisite video demonstrating listed skills including stars, free shoulder stand, foot-to-hand under, and a 10-second handstand (with wall or caregiver allowed).
